Monday, July 21, 2025: Victoria's News about Jim Jepson and important Events
Note From Victoria: I drove down to Pacific Grove yesterday (Sunday the 20th of July) and visited with Jim, his wife Rosemary and their niece and her partner.
Jim looks great and is working hard on his physical therapy in order to return home this coming Friday. Here are two photos of our visit (I brought them a bouquet of my hydrangeas!).
On another Note Regarding Alice Waco:
Note from Jim Jepson: I have been laid up for a while and finally read this. A wonderful reminder that Jesus was also forced to flee from his home country, and was shamefully persecuted when he displeased the local religious authorities -- Jim
THE IMMIGRANT APOSTLES’ CREED
I believe in God the Creator and Source of our being,
who guided the people in exile and in exodus,
the God of Joseph in Egypt and Daniel in Babylon,
the God of foreigners and immigrants.
I believe in Jesus Christ, a displaced Galilean,
who was born away from his people and his home,
who fled his country with his hi parents when his life was in danger.
When he returned to his own country, he suffered under the oppression of Pontius Pilate, the servant of a foreign power.
Jesus was persecuted, beaten, tortured, and unjustly condemned to death.
But on the third day Jesus rose from the dead, not as a scorned foreigner but to offer us citizenship in God’s kindom.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the eternal immigrant from God’s kindom among us,
who speaks all languages, lives in all countries,
and reunites all races.
I believe that the Church is the secure home
for foreigners and for all believers.
I believe that the communion of saints begins
when we embrace all God’s people in all their diversity.
I believe in forgiveness, which makes us all equal before God,
and in reconciliation, which heals our brokenness.
I believe in the Resurrection
When God will unite us as one people
in which all are distinct and all are alike at the same time.
I believe in life eternal, in which no one will be foreigner
but all will be citizens of the kindom
where God reigns forever and ever. Amen.
Michael Gillotti, here in Sebastopol, is hoping to work quickly to get Alice on the Peace Wall

August Inter Faith Event: Let's GO Emmaus!
Saturday, August 16th in the Christ Church sanctuary
The Christ Church campus is home to several organizations motivated by interfaith and social justice values. In the spirit of mutual aid and deeper understanding, in the face of challenging times, we hope to celebrate this work together in an afternoon gathering for conversation, food and music on Saturday, August 16th in the Christ Church sanctuary, from 1:30-3:30 PM.
The Interfaith Council of Sonoma County (ICSC) is co-sponsoring this event. The idea is to get to know each other better and to celebrate community. Our campus is a place of work and worship for congregations from Elisha’s Food Pantry (Shomrei Torah, Bethlehem Lutheran), the Harvest for the Hungry Garden, The North Bay Organizing Project (NBOP), The Black Forum, the World Harvest and Emmaus congregations and the trauma counselors at Missing Elements.
What’s the purpose of your organization? What motivates your work? What concerns do you and your organization have? What challenges are you facing? How can we help? What can we do to support one another? Bring some finger food for a potluck and let us know if there is music you’d like to share. We’ll mix at tables with one another to strengthen community among us.
