Tuesday, July 15, 2025: 3 Important Events to make Good Trouble: Please Mark Your Calendars and plan to show up:

Event #1:

From Indivisible Sonoma County:

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨 SAVE THE DATE: NECESSARY TROUBLE 📅

This Thursday, July 17, 2025 |

🕔 5PM at Old Courthouse Square, Santa Rosa, CA

Inspired by the legacy of Congressman John Lewis and the call to make #GoodTrouble, we rise in community and resistance.

We are calling our community to come together for a powerful protest rooted in justice, resistance, and joy. This is not just a demonstration—this is an act of collective power, grounded in our constitutional right to speak out and take up space.

Event #2:

July 22, 2025 : ICE Out of Sonoma County – A Protest to Protect our Immigrant Communities and our Human and Constitutional Rights

Date: July 22nd

When: 5:00PM

575 Administration Drive, Santa Rosa

Under California Law, No Sheriff is required to cooperate with ICE. Yet Sonoma County Sheriff Eddie Engram continues to provide information about people in the jail to ICE. We demand that Sheriff Engram stop cooperating with ICE!

Event #3:

Saturday, August 16th in the Christ Church United Methodist Sanctuary

1:30 - 3:30 PM

The Christ Church campus is home to several organizations motivated by interfaith and social justice values.  In the spirit of mutual aid and deeper understanding, in the face of challenging times, we hope to celebrate this work together in an afternoon gathering for conversation, food and music on Saturday, August 16th in the Christ Church sanctuary, from 1:30-3:30 PM.

The Interfaith Council of Sonoma County (ICSC) is co-sponsoring this event.  The idea is to get to know each other better and to celebrate community.  Our campus is a place of work and worship for congregations from Elisha’s Food Pantry (Shomrei Torah, Bethlehem Lutheran), the Harvest for the Hungry Garden, The North Bay Organizing Project (NBOP), The Black Forum, the World Harvest and Emmaus congregations and the trauma counselors at Missing Elements.

What’s the purpose of your organization?  What motivates your work? What concerns do you and your organization have?  What challenges are you facing? How can we help? What can we do to support one another?  Bring some finger food for a potluck and let us know if there is music you’d like to share.  We’ll mix at tables with one another to strengthen community among us.
