Saturday December 6, 2025: Announcements: Sam Jones, March and Rally on December 9th, 2025

Announcement #1


From Denise: Our last Sam Jones of the year is in a little less than 2 weeks, on 12/17. We will be doing a holiday chicken over potatoes with a mushroom, wine cream sauce. With all of the chopping we will again start at 4:00 for prep on site and 3:15 for pickup at OLG. Let me know if you can help. 

Next, Cathy suggested we rotate volunteers through helping in the kitchen to give more people an opportunity to take part. So, I am setting up a schedule based on a quarterly commitment for 2026 and we'll see how it works. 

David has agreed to take the first month of each quarter (that is Jan, April, July and Oct) and staff it with his family and friends. I am asking for volunteers to commit to come in either the second month of each quarter ( Feb,May, Aug and Nov) or the third month of each quarter (March, June, Sept and Dec). 

Let me know if this does not make sense and I'll try to explain. # 707-695-2244 Once setup, if you have committed to a particular month and you cannot make it, you would need to find a substitute. I will distribute the schedule once I have the volunteers setup. Thanks – Denise

Dear Sisters and Brothers of Emmaus: On Monday Linda, Marcie and David visited with Lindsey Kerr, the Pastor of Christ Church Methodist in Santa Rosa in order to assess whether moving to Christ Church for our liturgies would be advantageous for all of us at Emmaus. Many of us have worked with Lindsey and consider her to be an excellent leader who is courageous and energetic. We received a warm welcome from Lindsey who showed us around Christ Church and opened the room in which we may meet. It’s not in the church – but an unused classroom that’s part of the larger set of buildings in the complex.  The room has space enough for us, lots of windows and some storage. They are buying new tables for the room. The room used to be a classroom so there’s plenty of room for our celebrations.  Saturday, February 1, 2025: Announcement about Bill Boorman (Sir Will) Victoria just called and explained that Bill Boorman is in his transitional phase. He's no longer eating or drinking. He's still mentally sharp but is having great difficulty communicating. Let's lift up Bill as he begins his passage  Bill is one of the kindest, most talented, and generous people of this age or any other. He loved life,  companionship, friends, art, and good food. Bill used every day to live a full life.
