Monday, June 15, 2026 Great News for Victoria and her daughter and a call for prayers for Dan Lambert and Dan Vrooman:

( Emily MacDonald and her daughter Pykea)

Great News: Emily MacDonald is now an Assistant Professor - Scenic Design, Costume Design at Longe Beach State University:

The scoop: On May 26th, Victoria’s daughter Emily received her letter of Tenure as Associate Professor at California State University Long Beach! Victoria writes “I am so grateful! And I am so happy and proud thank you all for your  prayerful support for my daughter, Emily” As we all know, receiving tenure only occurs after years of hard work and in Emily’s field of design, a tremendous amount of creativity, long days and very little money. Congratulations Emily!

A bit about Emily:

Emily Anne MacDonald designs for Opera, Theater, Concert, and Dance throughout the United States and Europe.  She has designed for notable companies such as the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, LA Phil, San Francisco Symphony, Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Bard Summerscape, The Juilliard School, Latino Theater Company, SF Opera Merola, Ojai Music Festival, Opera Omaha, Trinity Wall Street, and Opera San Antonio.

She comes to stage design from a background in fine art, music, and dance, as well as retail and museum design.  She holds a M.F.A. in Design for Theater and Entertainment Media from UCLA and a B.A. in Studio Art from Mills College.  She has been a resident artist at Burren College of Art in Country Clare, Ireland and Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, California.  She has also been a member of the California Society of Printmakers.  She is the co-creator and co-owner of Mac Moc Design, LLC.  She aims to provide students with an understanding of the holistic nature of stage design, the collaborative importance of theater, and to take those aspects and bring them into an engaged contemporary dialogue. Wow.

Call for prayers:

As many of you know, Dan Lambert and Dan Vrooman are taking a trip to Croatia which includes a cruise. I received a call from Kay explaining that Dan Lambert was not feeling well on the cruise and after a health exam determined he had suffered a heart attack. Upon stopping in an Italian port he was taken to the hospital where he is undergoing a delicate heart operation. Dan Vrooman is with him.

Please pray for the two Dans!
