Finding Hope in Uncertain Times: 

A Half Day Retreat into Ecospirituality: September 18, 2026


Join us in taking a breather from busy lives and the anxiety of politics to explore our spirituality through body work, meditation, self-care, group dynamics, and reflection. 



Maryknoll Lay Missioners Flavio José Rocha and Kathleen Bond lead us through their EcoRetreat with lively group processes inspired by Creation Spirituality, the meditations of Dom Helder Camara and the wisdom of Saint Hildegard. 

During the retreat we’ll use a “mental map” process to develop a group concept of Ecospirituality. 



Flavio José Rocha and Kathleen Bond are well known for their EcoRetreats and dedicated ministries in Brazil. They bring inspiring concepts and their own deep spirituality to every discussion and experience.

This is also a fundraising event which supports community programs sustained by Flavio and Kathy in Brazil. They lead retreats, provide holistic healing and wellness therapies, facilitate support circles and leadership training on health and human rights issues confronting domestic violence in marginalized communities.

We are asking for a regular donation of $50 

or a larger donation of $100 if the spirit moves you.

Dear Sisters and Brothers of Emmaus: On Monday Linda, Marcie and David visited with Lindsey Kerr, the Pastor of Christ Church Methodist in Santa Rosa in order to assess whether moving to Christ Church for our liturgies would be advantageous for all of us at Emmaus. Many of us have worked with Lindsey and consider her to be an excellent leader who is courageous and energetic. We received a warm welcome from Lindsey who showed us around Christ Church and opened the room in which we may meet. It’s not in the church – but an unused classroom that’s part of the larger set of buildings in the complex.  The room has space enough for us, lots of windows and some storage. They are buying new tables for the room. The room used to be a classroom so there’s plenty of room for our celebrations.
