Thursday, September 25, 2025:  Here are "Alice's Beatitudes" which she wrote for an Emmaus Celebration which she left us as a gift. Photo from Alice Waco's Celebration of Life last Sunday, September 21st, 2025 Nancy and Perry Lindquist from Oconomowoc Wisconsin, spoke about their long, joyful relationship with Alice. Nancy, who has 2 cochlear implants and is otherwise deaf, asked the audience to make the sign for "I Love You." Here are "Alice's Beatitudes" which she wrote for an Emmaus Celebration which she left us as a gift. Alice’s Beatitudes: Alice was working on her version of the Beatitudes a few weeks before her death in preparation for a celebration with her Emmaus community. Traditionally, each Beatitude starts with the words “Blessed Are you.” After doing some research into their original scriptural meaning, she rewrote her Beatitudes to reflect her commitment to world community.
